Michael Pollard, Principal

Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA)

Michael is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. He has been a principal at Port Phillip Group for 30 Years and has extensive experience in all areas of professional practice. In particular, he enjoys working closely with the following industry sectors: Health services, construction and landscaping, professional and financial services, private investment, manufacturing, and self-managed superannuation services.

On a personal note: “Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I like to stay active – sailing, cycling, and skiing.”

Robert Gauci, Principal

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Robert is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and has been a principal of Port Phillip Group since 1 July 2001. With a diverse client base including medical practices, engineering, professional services, building and construction and self-managed super funds, he has over 35 years of experience. Working with people across a range of accounting, taxation, and business management issues, Rob maintains strong relationships with his clients and talks in everyday language about complex accounting issues so that people feel at ease.

On a personal note: “I spend my leisure time passionately following my footy team and often attend their games. I also love Formula One, American baseball and NFL. I am a life member of the Frankston Life Saving Club, having spent most of my youth down at the beach.”

Angela Pollard, Principal

B.Comm. MBA. Dip FS CAANZ

Angela feels fortunate that she has been given the opportunity to develop extensive experience in Accounting, Tax and Financial Planning for her clients. She has close relationships with each of her clients and understands their vision and objectives so that she can produce the best outcome for them now, and in the future. She’s passionate about eliminating the mysteries around investing and ensuring her clients receive the best tax and investment advice. Positive client outcomes are her priority.

On a personal note: “I love outdoor activities, golf and maintaining my fitness. I adore my beautiful family which includes my two dogs.”

Clint Chaffey, Manager

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Clint has called the Peninsula home since moving from Ballarat in 1992. He joined PPG in 2002, while completing his final year at Monash University, and has been with the team since. Clint completed the CA Program and is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Over the years, Clint has been exposed to most areas of accounting across many industries and specialises in Business Services/Advisory and Taxation fields. Clint believes communication with clients is key and places his relationship with them as his highest priority.

On a personal note: “Outside of work, I maintain an unhealthy/healthy/overanalytical interest in sport (AFL, NFL, NBA). I also love a good coffee, driving with no destination, and wasting a few hours gaming.”

Lorena Prestia, Manager

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Lorena joined the management team of Port Phillip Group in early 2022 after moving to the Mornington Peninsula from Melbourne. She is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. With over 20 years of experience in Public Practice, she now specialises in Taxation and Business Services for a variety of client structures across various industries. Lorena enjoys building strong client relationships whilst assisting clients to grow their business.

On a personal note: “I enjoy spending time with family and friends and planning new travel adventures.”

Beverly Martin, Compliance Manager (Super)

Masters Professional Accounting (MPA) and Diploma Superannuation (ASFA)

Working in the accounting industry since late 1980’s, Beverly began specialising in superannuation in the 2000’s. She has extensive qualifications completing her master’s degree in accounting and her diploma of superannuation. Since joining the PPG team in 2008, she was promoted to SMSF Compliance Manager and provides advice and support to clients. She attends to regulatory requirements necessary of SMSF clients, prepares their SMSF financial statements & income tax returns, looks after administration and lodgement program.

On a personal note: “I enjoy gardening, cooking (including my home grown veggies), decorating my home and going for walks…. weather permitting. My biggest passion is being with my girls and spending time with family.”

Susan Dixon, Senior Accountant

Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

Susan joined the team in 2017 and has over 20 years of experience working in both the public practice and commercial sectors. She is a member of CPA Australia. Susan enjoys working with a variety of business, individuals, and self-managed superannuation fund clients.

On a personal note: “When not at work you will find me with my family at one of many sporting activities, away in the caravan or enjoying a wine with friends.”

Florim Alievski, senior Accountant

Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

Florim joined the team in 2021 as an Accountant after graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Business and has since completed his CPA qualifications and is a member of CPA Australia.

On a personal note: “I enjoy travelling, playing sports and watching football.”

Suzanne Keane, Accountant

Bachelor of Business

Suzanne joined the PPG team in 2008 as an Accountant after previously working in the commercial property industry. She has extensive experience in project and lease management, as an administrator, a bookkeeper and has undertaken voluntary work in the local community.

On a personal note: I love travelling with my family, working on family projects, catching up with friends, gardening and planning my next adventure.”

Shery Varghese, Graduate Accountant

Bachelor of Business

Shery joined PPG in January 2023 after finishing his Bachelor of Business at Victoria University and has commenced the course to become a Chartered Accountant.

On a personal note: “I love playing cricket, video games and spending time with my parents and 2 brothers.”

Michelle Judd, Executive Assistant

Michelle has been with PPG for more than 15 years and re-joined the team in 2006 after living in the UK for two years. She is the Executive Assistant to Robert Gauci. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration and is proficient in Xero, SuiteFiles, NowInfinity, ATOmate, Sage Handisoft and many more online programs. She also looks after Human Resources, Practice Management and Secretarial Support.

On a personal note: “I enjoy travelling, hiking, bike riding and organising activities with my family.”

Dehlia is a key member of our operations and administration team that deals with the day to day running of the office. These include ASIC Liaison, ATO Liaison, MYOB/Xero administration, Corporate Advisory, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Client Support, Financial Statement, Income Tax Return & BAS Collation. She also oversees the day to day running of the office.

On a personal note: “I love quilting & sewing, catching up with friends and training my German Shepherd.”

Rebecca is a key member of our operations and administration team and oversees our Corporate Secretarial Compliance. She has a Diploma of Business (obtained with high distinction) and 5 years of experience in Tax Administration.

On a personal note: “I love spending time with my family and friends, camping and travelling. I adore animals but most of all my pet rabbit, Miffy.”
