Third Round of Business Support Fund

Grants to support Victorian businesses that must stay closed or operate under restrictions until COVID normal.

The Victorian Government recently announced a third round of the Business Support Fund – ensuring businesses impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions continue to receive the support they need to make it through restricted trading.

Through this third round of the Business Support Fund, eligible businesses will receive grants of $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000, depending on the business’ annual payroll.

Grants from this program will help businesses in these sectors make it through extended restrictions.

Only employing businesses in the sectors listed in the link above can apply for a grant from this program, in recognition that these industries are the most affected by coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.

You will need to check that your ANZSIC code per the Australian Business Register (ABR) aligns with the industry you operate within. Your Bookkeeper can also confirm your ANZSIC code.

If your ANZSIC industry code is not on this list, you are not eligible for funding through Business Support Fund 3 as the industry you are operating in is either open with a COVIDSafe plan, or is having its restrictions eased between the First and Second Step as described in Victoria’s Roadmap for Reopening – How we work in Metropolitan Melbourne. This list also applies to businesses in regional Victoria, as the Roadmap for reopening for the regions begins at the Second Step.

Please read through the Third Round of the Business Support Fund guidelines here and contact your Accountant if you require their assistance or would like them to apply for this grant on your behalf.
